SCOTT CHIU
CEO/Director/Veteran Audio & Video Recording Engineer/Veteran Mixing and Mastering Engineer/Veteran Video Editing Engineer
Scott Chiu is the founder of Portable Recording Studio. He has extensive experience in the professional recording studio industry and has worked with GRAMMY Award-winning artists. Mr. Chiu specializes in mastering classical and jazz tones and brings his expertise to various venues. He works as a full-time studio engineer at Skillman Recording Studio in Brooklyn, NY.
In addition to his work in the recording industry, Scott Chiu is an accomplished 2nd clarinetist with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and is featured in Lisa Bielawa’s “Broadcast From Home” project. His music has been played on various radio stations, including NPR and BBC. Mr. Chiu has also made appearances on the "From the Top" radio show as a solo clarinetist.

Mercedes Gala is a singer-songwriter and music producer originally from Tijuana, Mexico, now based in NYC. She recently graduated from Berklee College of Music with a double major in Electronic Production & Design, and Contemporary Writing & Production. Mercedes is a versatile producer, who blends different styles of music including Latin music, R&B, and Hip Hop. Her compositions are mainly influenced by R&B, and her unique style is defined by her ethereal sound design and soulful vocal interpretations.
BRYANT BLACKBURN
Staff Engineer
Bryant Blackburn is a versatile freelance stagehand, A1, A2, camera operator, and audio engineer from Brooklyn, NY. He has worked at several venues, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Manhattan School of Music, Gibson Entertainment Services, and Knockdown Center. With a diverse background in classical, jazz, and pop music, Bryant brings a wealth of experience to every project he takes on.
